"WHERE THE OUTDOORS MOVE INDOORS"
The McCook Athletic & Exposition (MAX) Center is Chicago's first full-sized outdoor field positioned under a clear-span forty foot roof. At 125,000 square feet, the MAX incorporates 79,000 square feet of turf, two full-sized basketball courts, volleyball courts, and a baseball/softball academy, MAX is host to a broad range of sports and exhibitions. The entire building is climate controlled - both heat and air-conditioning - to allow for confortable year-round usage. The facility is designed to meet the needs of organized public and private sports teams and clubs, as well as satisfying the ever-increasing demand for more and better training and competitive facilities. We are committed to creating the best sport specific practice facility in the Chicagoland area.
A spectator mezzanine allows for terrific sight-lines from all locations and a relaxed, roomy environment for the players, coaches and spectators alike. A full concession and vending area is available for your enjoyment. complimentary wireless internet is available for visitors and coaches. Trade shows, exhibitions and corporate as well as private events have access to a private multi-purpose/conference room, available local catering services, 79,000 square feet of turf exhibition space and 20,000 square feet of hard-court space.
By offering the largest field house configurations in the Chicago suburbs, we are able to accomodate soccer, lacrosse, football, baseball, softball, softball, basketball, volleyball, kickball, dodge ball, etc. These sports will have the ability to train indoors on state-of-art turf; multiple field and court configurations to support training and games for all ages. For the soccer community, fields without boards means the true play of the game will be experienced . . . under a roof. Competitive leagues for youth through adult teams will be formed along with tournaments, clinics and camps throughout the year.
In the past year, the MAX has been utilized by members of the Chicago Bulls and The Chicago White Sox for individual training. We are also used as an off-season/inclement weather practice facility for the Chicago Fire (Soccer), the Chicago Machine (Lacrosse), and the Chicago Bandits (Women's Softball). Additionally, the MAX has secured commitments from the Magic Soccer Club, Lyons Township Soccer Club, Eclipse West, the Chicago Fire Juniors, the Hinsdale Lacrosse League, and Lacrosse America, just to name a few. Showcase Productions has led the way in securing exhibition space for the spring and fall. To date, there has been no activity that the MAX has been unable to accommodate.
The MAX will also offer programming for pre-school through grade school ages in a combination of sports and camps/clinics througout the year. The opportunity for a variety of corporate events, formed birthday parties and team parties are also offered. The MAX has also formed a partnership with The Athlete Within, a newly formed Basketball School, run by local star athletes. They have joined our experienced team of professionals to design the program offerings and community outreach for MAX. Our organization is committed to satisfying the ever increasing demand for more and better practice and competitive sports facilities while offering high quality, safe and well-managed space for a wide variety of team and individual athletic activities.
